Visual description
George Wilson has depicted four baseball players standing shoulder to shoulder slightly off center to the left in this landscape orientation. The figures are outlined in black and gray and filled in with various colors. Shown from the waist up, they face the viewer against a background of various shades of lime green. The greens are darker in some areas, lighter or yellower in others, evoking a grassy field, but the artist confirmed that they depict a green sky. There are a few small areas, between the two middle figures, to the left of the rightmost figure, and in the lower right-hand corner, where the background is a muted butterscotch shade of orange. On the far left, figure one faces the viewer, their skin a fair peach tone, their hair cut short above large oval ears. They wear brown pants and a long-sleeved shirt, the chest portion of which is white, the rest of it is an orangey-yellow. A red outline delineates their arms and forms a pattern on their shirt. Their eyes feature large, dark pupils and are framed by thin eyebrows. Their nose is prominent, outlined in black, and their lips, pink and full, forming an exaggerated ear-to-ear smile. The figure directly to their right reaches out across figure one's chin, the hand drawn in a black outline. Figure two, directly to the right of figure one, stands slightly taller, and the area where the two overlap is a dark green. Figure two's hair is similarly short, but rendered in a darker reddish-brown. Their light yellow face is larger than figure one's, their pupils not as prominent, and their smile slightly less exuberant. This figure wears a long-sleeved red shirt and green pants. Figure three's hair is drawn like the others. They have a pinkish face, elongated oval ears, and a broad smile, similar to figure one's. They wear vivid pink pants and a butterscotch-colored jacket or shirt, with round buttons running down the front. Their arms are bent, their hands clasped just below their chin. Figure four stands a bit shorter than the others. Their upper body is a square, their arms outstretched to the left, holding what looks like a brown baseball mitt. This figure wears an orange shirt, with buttons like those on figure three's top, and pants that are the same orangey-yellow as figure one's shirt.
